BLACK SEQUINNED NET EVENING GOWN with TRAIN, c. 1900. 2-piece black net over cream silk taffeta, the bodice having ecru lace on net sleeve and neckline inset, black velvet cummerbund and shoulder straps having jet bead and sequinned drops, back closure, skirt having allover sequin decoration, black lace hem ruffle. Said to have belonged to Sarah Bernhardt. Bust 36, waist 20, skirt length 42-52. Relined, waistband replaced, good. $2,185.
